On June 1, my family and I stayed in Cincinnati, Ohio for a week. It was very relaxing and more enjoyable than we anticipated. While we were there, we explored the city, the outskirts, and nearby Kentucky. Cincinnati is a very beautiful city with a lot of history and rich culture. Here are some pictures we took of the places we visited. Hope you enjoy them!
Xavier University Commons in Xavier's beautiful campus. Xavier is a private, Jesuit school known for their quality academics and men's basketball team.
Looking down through the heart of the campus. This same walkway is even more beautiful at night.
A statue of D'Artagnan, one of the three musketeers. It represents Xavier's spirit of "All for One, One for All."
A statue of St. Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Jesuits.
Here is a statue of a scale. On its base is a small plaque that says, "Quo Vadis" which means, "Where are you going?"
A large display of Renaissance art depicting different scenes from the Bible.
In the same room, there is this column structure to divide the room and provide light. Its Greek style definitely gives credence to the Renaissance period. It also serves as a beautiful piece of art itself.
A statue of a dinosaur welcoming us to the museum.
An animatronic dinosaur with a moving head, jaw, and eyelids.
Missles in the museum's space exhibit.
A Curtis P-40 Warhawk with a cool paint job.
This plane is an older model. It was in the Wright brothers section with other breakthroughs in aviation.
A German Messerschmitt BF 109 flown in World War II.
This over grown bridge is an unintentional piece of art.
Over grown stairs that seemingly were forgotten in the past.
A view into downtown Cincinnati.
One of the towers on the end of a bridge that connects Ohio and Kentucky.
The Ohio River dividing Cincinnati, Oh from Covington, KY.
Took a trip with just my wife this time. We enjoyed some Thai and Vietnamese food.
